Retina Services at SamVision
Find information about retinal assessment, diabetic retinal changes and consultation at SamVision.
Overview
The retina is the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. Retinal conditions can affect central or peripheral vision. Diabetes-related retinal changes may be present before noticeable symptoms occur.
Assessment and care options
SamVision's existing service information includes retinal diagnosis and imaging. The ophthalmology team assesses your symptoms and examination findings and explains whether monitoring, treatment or referral is needed. Specific procedures and equipment availability should be confirmed with the branch.
Your consultation
Bring previous retinal scans, eye-care reports and information about diabetes or other relevant health conditions. Further imaging or a dilated eye examination may be recommended by the clinician.
Relevant specialists
Arrange a consultation with the SamVision ophthalmology team. The clinic will confirm the appropriate clinician and branch for retinal assessment.
Follow-up
The clinician sets a review interval based on your findings. Sudden vision loss or new flashes, floaters or a curtain-like shadow in vision need urgent medical assessment.
How to arrange your visit
- Choose your SamVision branch on the appointment page.
- For Bole, use the existing Microsoft Bookings calendar. For other branches, call the listed branch number to arrange your visit.
- Confirm the required service and clinician schedule before attending.
