Pediatric Eye Care at SamVision

Explore child-friendly eye assessment for refractive errors, squint and lazy eye, and arrange a pediatric consultation.

Overview

Children's eye assessment checks vision and visual development. It can help identify refractive errors, eye misalignment and amblyopia, often called lazy eye. Some childhood vision problems are difficult for parents to notice without an examination.

Assessment and care options

SamVision's pediatric service information includes pediatric exams, refractive errors, lazy eye and squint. Depending on the findings, the clinician may discuss glasses, treatment for amblyopia, monitoring or further assessment.

Your consultation

A parent or guardian should accompany the child. Bring existing glasses and previous eye-care reports, and describe any concerns about eye alignment, reading, squinting or vision. Tests are selected for the child's age and cooperation.

Relevant specialists

Dr. Mandefro Sintayehu and Dr. Ruth Alemu are shown in the existing SamVision directory for pediatric eye care. Contact the clinic to confirm availability and the appropriate branch.

Follow-up

Follow-up is individualized to the child's examination and treatment plan. Attend scheduled reviews so the clinician can monitor vision development and any prescribed treatment.

  1. Choose your SamVision branch on the appointment page.
